About Me
I am originally from the Midwest where I fell in love with lakes country of ND and MN. Spending my summer days catching frogs, chasing snakes, swimming in lakes, and fighting fish I realized these were ecosystems I wanted to conserve for the next generation. In order to pursue this dream and explore other ecosystems, I attended Colorado State University and attained by B.S. in Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology. During this time, I sampled over 50 lakes and reservoirs across Colorado, from the eastern plains to high mountains above 11,000 ft. I was quickly drawn to the importance of preserving our 'water towers of the world' and when the opportunity arose, I decided to further my education by obtaining a Ph.D. at CSU in the same field, of which was conferred in 2019. I have been exceptionally fortunate to also be employed with state and federal agencies, where I collaborated and learned about the applied aspect to my work and the importance of native and sport-fish management.
